5 Things to Look at When You're Bored
When I'm bored, I probably look at one of these
If you're like the rest of the world, sitting around bored and can't come up with something to do, you start surfing the Internet. While none of these sites is rare or anything like that, you might get a grin out of them if you haven't looked in a while:
#1 www.homestarrunner.com While I've never been a big fan of Homestarrunner himself, I'm a big Fan of Strongbad. It's sad that the site hasn't been updated in over a year. This was one of the most entertaining sites out there and I waited for the weekly SBemails. I had a Trogdor painted on the wall of my party area at my arcade. Long live the Burninator!
#2 www.darwinawards.com Who doesn't like to laugh at childless people who die in extremely stupid ways? One of these days you'll probably find me there. Hopefully it will be writing some of the synopses, not as a winner. Right now the main site is showing the latest press release. #3 www.icanhascheezburger.com Who doesn't know this site? Take some time to explore all the subsites though. It'll suck you in and your day will be totally wasted. Guaranteed.
#4 www.newsoftheweird.com They used to carry this column in the local paper. Now I have to get my fix on Sunday mornings when it's updated online. Real news is weird news. Far weirder than things people make up.
#5 www.engrish.com Having had thousands of toys made in China pass through my hands in the past decade, I have a fine appreciation for Engrish (or more correctly Chinglish). I'm sure if I tried to write something in a foreign tongue, I would look like a fool, too. But I would try and pass it by a native speaker before throwing my weirdness out there.
